Orange-yellow fruit with pink streaks extending up from the blossom end. Beefsteak tomato. Indeterminate growth, regular leaves. Good flavor. Very sweet with low acidity. Meaty. Thin skin. Strongly recessed, ribbed stem end with a wide pedicel scar. Severe radial cracking and moderate concentric cracking on most fruit. Fruit have a slight tendency to split at the blossom end. 1-3 fruit per cluster. Ripe fruit measure 2.2-2.8" long by 3.2-4.2" wide and weigh 0.4-0.6lbs. Flower stigma is level with the anther cone. Plants were affected by septoria leaf spot in 2014 growout at Heritage Farm. Low fruit set. Mid-season maturing. Acquired by SSE from Neil Lockhart (IL LO N) who received the variety in 2004 from Carolyn Male (NY MA C). Male first listed it in the 1994 SSE Yearbook Exchange and described it as a regional heirloom from Donnie Hobson of North Carolina. SSE Accession # 127263
