Early maturing, edamame type. Fresh soybeans are delicious with a robust flavor. Bright green beans with 2-3 seeds per pod. Plants reach 1.5ft tall. Purple flowers. Tan dry pods. Shattering. Lower yielding. Acquired by SSE from the Abundant Life Seed Foundation (CV Abu) in the early to mid 1980s. This variety was originally developed by Professor Elwyn Meader at the University of New Hampshire and released by UNH in 1977. SSE Accession # 119338
