Salade de Russie

An attractive crisphead type. Crisp, thick leaves with a sweet aftertaste. Variability in head solidity, plants range from looseleaf to crisphead. Leaves are dark green and blushed with purple along margins with some purple spotting. Upright leaves. Medium-sized plants measure 8-10" tall and 12-16.5" in diameter when grown on Heritage Farm in 2018. Plants hold up well to summer heat. White seeded. SSE Accession # 112394
