Ross Red Salad

Red, medium-sized, round fruit averaging 2" diameter, 0.15lbs. Excellent yield of very uniform fruit; born in clusters of 4-6; very little cracking or blemishing; good eating qualities. Indeterminate; regular leaf; inserted flower stigma. Donated to SSE by Seeds of Diversity Canada. This variety was given to Seeds of Diversity by Paul Ross, who has grown it since 1962. Originally purchased by Paul's mother-in-law, Helen Artis, at a Safeway grocery store in Thornhill, Ontario in the mid 1950s. Paul stated that the fruit stores well until Christmas.
