Straight, green pods. Best eaten under 5" long. Intermediate in length and width. Downy pubescence. 6-9 ridges per fruit. Non-pigmented plants reached 3ft tall in 2015 growout at Heritage Farm. Low productivity and moderate disease symptoms. Dry pods measured 6.5-8" long. Good flavor. Acquired by SSE from the late Dr. James Wolfe (TN WO J) who received the variety in 1990 from the Nora Simpson family of Rogersville, TN. Nora's daughter, DV (Simpson) Thomas, can remember her mother growing this variety as far back as the early 1940s. SSE Accession # 114077
