SNAP-POLE
Very juicy and crisp snaps! Tender, sweet, not stringy at all. Half-runner, multiple branches near the base of the plants. Green, round pods are curved at the tip. Pods turn yellow at maturity and develop a light purple blush pattern with a few stripes. 2-4 pods per raceme. Fully expanded pods measure 5.8-6.4" long and 0.4-0.5" wide. 6-8 seeds per pod. Purple flowers. Oblong seeds are speckled tan and light brown with navy dashes. Snap beans in early July. Stems pigmented at nodes. Average productivity when grown on Heritage Farm in 2018. Donated to SSE by Mrs. H.L. Jarrad of Oakwood, Georgia who stated this variety has been in the same family since the mid 1800s. SSE Accession # 102569
