VEGETABLES / BEAN
SNAP-BUSH
This is a weakly climbing pole bean. It can be grown without support. It is best eaten in the snap stage, though the hulls are a little bit tough and the snap beans are a little dry. The flavor is good though. The pods are small, light green, and straight. They are between 4-6" long. The plants are very productive. The flowers are white with light red streaks on the standard. It is an early maturing variety and has a long harvest window. The dry beans are oval to cubiod shape and are light brown with brown stripes. When eaten at the dry stage, they are a little grainy, though creamy and sweet. SSE Accession # 103406
