Large, dark pink beefsteak. Fruit are flattened with ribbing at the stem end. About half of fruit are cat-faced. Wide pedicel scar. Severe radial cracking. Fruit measure 2.3-3.3" long, 3.5-5.5" wide, and weigh 0.8-1.8lbs. 1-4 fruit per cluster. Dark pink flesh. Standard flavor. Medium acid and juicy. Brix score: 5.5. Indeterminate. Regular leaves. Low productivity when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Mid-season maturing. Acquired by SSE from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange who introduced it into the commercial seed trade. According to CV So1, it is a West Virginian heirloom selected by “Tappy” and grown since at least 1948 from seeds that originally came from Italy. SSE Accession # 121886
