St. Hubert

Vines grow 3-4' in height. Standard vigor and productivity. White flowers. No stipule ring. Normal flowers. Straight, green pods become round. Non-edible pods. Dry peas have a grainy texture and starchy flavor. Mature pods average 2.2" long by 0.4" wide. Shattering dry pods. Round, smooth seeds are a mix of yellow and green. Non-pigmented hilum. Yellow and green cotyledons. Early maturing. Acquired by SSE from Prairie Garden Seeds (CV Pr3). Originally from France, this variety was brought to Quebec by French settlers and then later to Saskatchewan. SSE Accession # 115853
