Garden radish. Red bulbs have white flesh with slight red markings on several. Bulbs range in shape from round to elliptic, are mostly above soil, and have smooth to rough skin. Crisp, juicy, and mild tasting. A very good radish. Market mature bulbs 1.75-3.5" long, 1.5-2" wide, and 1.5-3 oz. Few, small, leaves have little lobing, intermediate hairiness, open growth habit. Leaf midvein purple. Plants small, 7-9" in diameter. Bolt resistant and prone to splitting with alternate periods of heavy rain and dry weather when grown in 2014 at Heritage Farm.
