Pole/snap. Moderately sweet and juicy. Best eaten when young. Long curved green pods are flecked with purple even when young. Mature pods are yellow with a purple blush. Fully expanded pods measure 4.3-6.8" long and 0.3-0.4" wide. Extensive purple pigment in stems. 8-9 seeds per pod. Medium sized, oblong dark brown/black seeds. Dark purple flowers. Moderate productivity when grown on Heritage Farm in 2018. Snap beans in mid July. Donated to SSE in the 1990s by Donna Hudson (TN HU D2). This variety is originally from the West family of Jackson County, Tennessee. SSE Accession # 104700
