Single Image
VEGETABLES / TURNIP
For greens only. Roots inedible. Likes to germinate in warm, late spring weather. In warm weather, it will produce leaves 20-20+ in. long, and 4-5 in. across top. In winter, makes the basal rosette, but has many upright, fairly large leaves. History: original X of 7-top Turnip and Joy Choy mustard, 12-15 years ago. Back-crossed to 7-top, then allowed to cross with native Black Mustard. Result: extremely, almost stiffly-haired, big Turnip green. An 11-month producer here in PNW!
