Virgin's Bower

Clematis virginiana; native to the E. coast of the USA; introduced to the South & Midwest by early settlers and is now found growing wild in Missouri. Blooms in Aug.-Sept.; flowers simple and white, not showy like other Clematis. Good fence cover. From: several places in SW Missouri.
