P. grisea. Fruit are round and yellow at maturity. Taste is sweet and pleasant with standard ground cherry flavor. Fruit measure 0.6" long by 0.6" wide. Plants have a prostrate growth habit with a slight tendency to grow upright. Green, downy leaves with purple pigmentation on the stems and petioles. Plants grow 60-65" wide and 1.5-2.' tall. Very productive when grown in 2014 at Heritage Farm. This variety was donated to SSE by Suzanne Ashworth (CA AS S) who got it from a young woman who lived in an apartment and was unable to grow the seeds which she had gotten from her deceased grandmother.
