Golden Russet

An old New England apple originating sometime in the 1700's. A green yellow apple with russeting and occasionally a red blushed cheek. Firm fleshed, fine grained and can be very sweet with a cidery tang. Susceptible to sunburn in hot climates, prune for branching to help protect fruit, needs a rich organic soil. Have three pieces.
