Pole. Snap bean. Great flavor, sweet and crisp. Texture improves upon cooking. Strongly climbing plants have white flowers. Small short pods are set in large clusters. Fully expanded immature pods measure 4.0-4.5" long and 0.4" wide. Mature pods are yellow-green with a bright pink blush pattern. 8-9 seeds per pod. Seeds are small, brown, with squared ends. Moderately high productivity when grown on Heritage Farm in 2018. Snaps in early August. Donated to SSE by Philip Hammond (GA HA P) who received this variety from Lela Mae Weaver. This variety has been passed down through her maternal line for three generations, or about 150 years, in the Blue Ridge area of northwest Georgia. SSE Accession # 105287
