C. annuum. Hot. Small, erect, triangular shaped fruit. Fruit matures from light green to dark red. Smooth skin; pointed blossom end; round in cross section. Small fruit highly pungent. Heat lingers on tip of tongue and dissipates in the back of the throat. Ripe fruit 1-1.4" long, 0.2-0.3" wide, 0.2-0.3oz. Plants short; attractive; 1-2' tall; highly branched. Green leaves and stems with purple nodes; densely pubescent. White flowers; exserted stigmas. High productivity; mid-season maturing; slight to moderate lodging did not negatively affect low-growing plants in 2014 growout at Heritage Farm. SSE Accession # 116240
