A. hypochondriacus. Upright, branched plants, 3-4' tall. Uniform and vigorous. Several large branches at base of stem, with smaller branches further up. Attractive golden inflorescences terminate each branch. Relatively small inflorescences are erect and conical. Green leaves with orange midveins and petioles, elliptic. Solid orange stems. Lodging uncommon. Used as a grain. This variety came to SSE in the 1980s from the Good Seed Company (CV Goo) of Washington. SSE Accession # 100007
