Broomcorn. Seeds yellow with red tip, plump, obovate. Seed interior ranges from partly to completely corneous. Red glumes entirely cover the grain. Plants 8-10' tall. Every plant tillers, up to 6, with 2-4 most common. Plants mostly green, developing some red as they dry down. Midseason maturity. No lodging when grown at Heritage Farm in 2013. Canes sweetest of sorghums grown in 2013, but yield is low, only slightly juicy. Acquired by SSE through Glenn Drowns (IA DR G). This is a broomcorn Glenn obtained from Orral Craig (IL CR O) who received the variety at the 1987 SSE Campout. SSE Accession # 119294
