Potawatomi (Kansas)

Single Image
VEGETABLES / LIMA-BEAN
POLE
This is a different strain of the other Potawatomi lima found on the exchange. 9-10 foot vines with tiny flowers that have white lower lobes and green upper lobes. Pods have 3-4 seeds per pod. Variable seed coat pattern including black, cream with brown and maroon mottling, and brown with darker mottling. Pods shatter when dry. A professor Flannery from Indiana was working with the Potawatomi in Kansas and was gifted these seeds. He then shared them with a former lister and friend of mine and this is where I acquired them.
