Honeymist

C. inodorous. Large round fruit ripens from light green to a yellow-green color. Smooth skinned fruit measure 7.5-9.5 inches long and 5.5-7.25 inches in diameter, and weigh up to 7 pounds. Green flesh up to an inch thick. Low productivity when grown in 2016 at Heritage Farm, and a bit later season. This is a true winter melon and can be difficult to judge ripeness. Donated to SSE by Glenn Drowns (IA DR G) who acquired this variety in 1988 from Leonard Chimel (CO CH L). Chimel purchased it from the W. Atlee Burpee Seed Co in 1975. SSE Accession # 113001
