Large green shelling pea that is moderately productive and has great flavor. Plants are slightly spindly, moderately vigorous, late maturing, grow to be 3.5-4.5 feet tall with white flowers and straight green pods. Flavor is sweet and not very astringent with good moisture. Pods are around 0.5 inches wide and 3.5-4.5 inches long with 7-9 large peas per pod. This accession matches the description of Duke of Albany listed in the Henry Dreer catalogue from 1887.
