Grown in 2017 by Seed Savers Exchange member Cathie Pitman from Aledo, IL as part of the Citizen Science Corps Program. Indeterminate plants have regular leaves. Plum shaped fruit are red and about 2 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. Flavor is sweet with a meaty texture. The skin is not too thick. Best use is for paste or sauce. 80 days to maturity. Plants displayed good drought and disease resistance. This variety was introduced into the SSE Yearbook Exchange in 2001 by Sharon Vadas-Arendt (CO VA S). Given to Sharon in 1999 by Mary Schultz of Maine, who had received the variety in the 1970s from the DePinto family of Long Island, New York. Originally brought to the US when the DePinto family immigrated from Italy. SSE Accession # 126425
