Judy received seeds of the variety in a Christmas card from friends Bob and Veronica Theuret (pronounced TOUR et) in 2000. Bob and Veronica have been growing and saving seed from the variety since they were married in 1949. They received it from Bob’s parents, Joseph and Mary Theuret, but it's unknown when Joseph and Mary began growing this variety.
