Prudens Red

A descendant (cross) of Prudens Purple with wide-lobed regular leaf. 40" vine produced small fruits. In 2020 ripened 8/26, with no fruit set during hot weather. In drought year 2016 only 8, but in other years loaded. (Keep it watered). 2" to 3" round 110-170g. Heavy bearer with nice taste and disease resistance. Stable. In 2020 ripened 8/27 (one of the earliest) to almost frost (10/6). Cracked a bit during too much rain but healthy. Well adapted to SE Michigan even drought years. 2018-2022 seed.
