Smooth-leaved type spinach has light green leaves ranging in shape from ovate to hastate to spear. Flat leaves are moderately glossy and have very weak to no blistering. Plants measure 4.7-8.5 inches tall and 10-15 inches in diameter. Smooth-seeded. Fall grown in 2016 at Heritage Farm and did not bolt. Tender leaves with very good flavor. Donated to SSE in 2015 by Jim Tjepkema (MN TJ J) who has been listing this variety in the SSE Yearbook Exchange since 1995. He originally acquired the variety from John Wyncoll (ENGL WY J). This variety has been exchanged in the Yearbook for at least 20 years. SSE Accession # 132768
