Smooth-leaved type. Ovate and spear-shaped, flat, dark green leaves with red at base of petioles. Weak leaf blistering; semi-upright leaves with long petioles. Largest leaves average 3.5" long and 1.5" wide. Early bolting. Standard flavor; neither bitter nor sweet. Thin leaves. Acquired by SSE from John Wyncoll; CV. SSE Accession # 119609
