Plants 1.5-2.5' tall. Purple main stem and petioles, green leaves. Elongated, dark purple, slightly curved fruit, averaging 7.2" long, 2.2" wide, and 6.9 oz. Born singly. Fruit becomes dark brown at seed maturity. Few prickles on calyx. Pubescent, dull leaves with weak lobing. White flowers with purple margins, born singly or in pairs. Standard productivity. Mid-season maturing. Donated to SSE by James Wolfe (TN WO J); from a Peace Corps volunteer in Yalta, Ukraine, 1995, supplied by a plant researcher in Crimea. SSE Accession # 109628
