German Lunchbox

Small, pink plum tomato. Indeterminate growth, regular leaves. Standard flavor. Medium acidity and sweetness. Soft, meaty texture. Slightly thicker skin. Blemish-free, uniform fruit. Fruit are slightly flattened along long axis. 5-10 fruit per cluster. Fruit measure 1.5-1.7" long by 1.3-1.6" wide and weigh about 1oz. Inserted flower stigma. Plants were highly productive in spite of septoria outbreak in 2014 growout at Heritage Farm. Mid-season maturing. Acquired by SSE from Jeremiath Gettle (MO GE J) who introduced this variety into the 2007 SSE Yearbook Exchange. Gettle wrote that he obtained the variety locally from a gentleman whose family brought it to America from Germany many years ago. SSE Accession # 127539
