Dark purple oakleaf lettuce. Fair eating qualities. Leaves a little tough and astringent. Best used sparingly in a salad for its handsome color. Early maturing and relatively quick to bolt. Plants reach 6-8 inches tall and 13-18 inches wide. SSE Accession # 133558
