Old Dutch White Half Runner

Donated to SSE in 1981 by bean collector John Withee of Lynnfield, Massachusetts and the Wanigan Associates. Withee acquired this variety from Park Seed Company in the 1970s. Park offered this variety first as “Old Dutch Half Runner” and beginning in 1980 as “Mountainer White Half Runner” but always described its history as a South Carolina variety originally brought by German immigrants.
