Butterhead. Well-developed head. Dark green leaves have burgundy tinge on tips. Moderate surface blistering and smooth edges. Black seeded. Donated to SSE by Jeff Fleming (MI FL J) who obtained the variety from Lila Towle (DENM TO L) in 2003. An old French variety from the organic seed company Le Biau Germe. SSE Accession # 112479
