Bush. Dry bean. Plants growing 10-15" tall. Round, plump, pearly white seeds. Mild flavor, superb, creamy texture as a fresh shelling or dry bean. Early maturing. Pods green, 3-4" long. 3-4 seeds per pod. Medium-low productivity at Heritage Farm. Donated to SSE by Crystal Mathisrud who received this variety from her grandmother, Nora (Lauritson) Scott, of Baudette, MN. Grown by Nora's mother, Ragne Lauritson, who originally received it from her neighbor, Joe Vaeda, circa 1900 in Clementson, MN. It was brought to Minnesota by the Vaeda family when they immigrated from Yugoslavia. Used by the Lauritson family in soups and in baked beans. SSE Accession # 129174
