Reine de Mai de Pleine Terre

Classic green butterhead that forms well-developed, moderately solid heads with a light red blush at the tips. Some variability in head development. Leaves are light green, slightly wavy and moderately blistered. Plants are between 4.5-6" tall and 8-10" in diameter. Flavor is buttery with a little bitterness and a crunchy, delicate and waxy texture. Matures in mid-season and bolts late. Low cold tolerance. SSE Accession # 111728
