Long Purple

Market mature fruit purple, elongate in shape, curved, and measure 4.75-9.5" long, 1.5-2.5" wide, and weigh up to 10 oz. White flesh. Seed mature yellowish-brown 4-5 locules and measure 6.5-9.5" long, 2-2.5' wide, and weigh up to 12.5 oz. Plants 18-27" tall with purple stems and dark violet petioles and dark green leaves. Mid-season maturing and moderate yield when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Rather firm variety makes this great for baking and grilling. SSE Accession # 109634
