Early Harvest

FRUITS-BERRIES-NUTS / BLACKBERRY
LQ. Old commercial variety. Very thorny, very hardy, very productive. Canes grow to 8 ft. and have survived winter temperatures to -30 F. It has been disease-resistant for me. Beautiful in June when it is smothered with white flowers that the bees love. Beautiful in early winter, providing the last of the fall color with a fiery display of red in early December. Bears medium-sized berries in July. Very worthy of continued production. Please help me keep this one going. Request deadline for Early Harvest blackberry is May 15th of each year. Plants will be shipped in the late spring. From SSE member Walter Bumgarner of Nebraska in 1999. His plants were from his grandparents' farm in Missouri. I will send the plants either overnight or 2nd day mail, whichever one is available to your area. The last time that I shipped plants, the shipping cost me substantially more than the $15 request fee, but I'm willing to absorb it for the sake of the survival of the variety.
