Pepper tomato. Indeterminate growth habit. Long, red, cylindrical fruit have a tapered end. Fruit retain a moderate green shoulder. Moderate to severe radial cracking on half of fruit; slight concentric cracking. Deeply recessed, strongly ribbed stem end. Fasciation, blossom end rot uncommon. Fruit born singly or in clusters of up to four. Standard leaves. Highly inserted stigmas. Ripe fruit reach 4-6" long by 2-2.8" wide and weigh 0.3-0.8 lbs. Mild but sweet flavor. Medium acidity. Meaty texture. Mid-season maturing. Average productivity when grown in 2013 at Heritage Farm. Donated to SSE by Mike Simpson (MN SI M) who introduced this variety into the 1992 SSE Yearbook Exchange. It was grown by Simpson's grandfather & his grandfather's brother; supposedly from Oklahoma circa the 1940s. SSE Accession # 124005
