This variety was donated to SSE by the late Robert Lobitz (MN LO R) who requested this variety from the USDA (PI 226884). The USDA collected this bean in 1955 from Germany. Previously distributed by SSE under the misspelled name 'Gelhora.' SSE Accession # 105219
