John Wyche

Prostrate habit. Round, slightly flattened fruit. Most are yellow, while some of those whose husks exposed them to light exhibited purple coloring. Fruit are 0.9-1.3" long and 0.9-1.8" wide. Plants are 13-23" tall and 87-113" wide. High productivity. Not very seedy, mild flavor, slightly sweet. Acquired by SSE from Suzanne Ashworth (CA AS S) who received this variety from the late Dr. John Wyche. SSE Accession # 121391
