Little Gem Cos

A small cos (romaine) type lettuce with dark green leaves. It is very compact with a moderately solid head. The diameter is around 10in. The height is between 6-6.5in long. The leaves are thicker and tougher with some crunch and juicyness in the midrib. It has a hearty flavor. The seed is white. This variety is early maturing. SSE Accession # 111441
