Sweet Red

C. moschata. Pear to oblong shaped pumpkin. Very slight ribbing; smooth skin. Orange with light orange flecks/partial striping. Fruits 6-7 lbs. with dark orange flesh. Vining plants. Leaves moderately lobed, with silvering ranging from strong to weak. From the Henry Doubleday Research Association (HDRA) in England. Originally collected by P. Hodson, who obtained it from the Xeropotamou Monastery on the Athos peninsula of Greece. SSE Accession # 120008
