Watermelon Beefsteak

19th century West Virginia heirloom that was commercially introduced by Glecklers Seedmen in 1958. Fruits range between 1-2 pounds, deep pink, beefsteak-type. Flesh is meaty with few seeds, smooth, and well-flavored. A few plants will make a lot of sauce! Regular leaves, indeterminate. About 90 days to maturity after transplanting.
