Sytan

Roots medium-sized (5" long and 3/4" wide at shoulder), bright orange, slightly tapered, with an insubstantial core. Grown by Claudia Lake in 2020 and Gene Forster in 2021 for the Collection Documentation Project; she reported that the variety is sweet and juicy with a good flavor and that it is a vigorous grower, resistant to carrot rust fly. He described the flavor of the raw roots as "good and sweet". SSE Accession # 106913
