VEGETABLES / POTATO
Medium-large round tubers, white flesh, huge yields claims Bill Minkey, planted in May07 and plant still green in late October, great storage. One of my best botanical seed producer; some 30 berries in 2013. One of the very early introduction in the Kenosha Potato Project, from a Spring 2007 visit to SSE member Bill Minkey (WI MI B). Bill received this variety from someone who possibly worked with the US Genebank in Sturgeon Bay, WI. The variety was not named but planted with the USDA Plant Introduction number PI 607501. In 2008 I've donated a few seed potato to a local farmer in Kenosha and we asked permission at the US Genebank to rename this variety with the name of the farm, Riverwood. ** TPS available. SELECTED for higher yields grown in containers, and apparently quite resistant to disease because it's still high yield without the need to restart with clean seed tubers.
