Holy Myrrhbearer

Large, pink, beautiful oxheart tomato. Uniform fruit. Persistent green shoulders at maturity. Fruit ribbing extends the entire length of fruit. Slight radial cracking. 2-3 fruit per cluster. Fruit measure 3.8-4.8" long; 3.4-5.4" wide; and 0.8-1.5lbs. Light red flesh. Brix score: 4.0. Low productivity when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Indeterminate. Regular leaves. Inserted flower stigma. Mid-season maturing. Donated to SSE by Kristi Appelhans of Seed Saver in Idaho Falls, ID. This variety was sent to her by a member of the convent of the Order of the Holy Myrrbearers in New York state. The member indicated that the tomato variety had been brought to the U.S. sometime in the 1800s by Russian monks. SSE Accession # 124398
