Rice

This is a bush bean. The pods are green, narrow, and curved. They are 4-5" long. Each pod contains up to 8 seeds. The seeds are small, white ovals, very similar to grains of rice. The flowers are white. The dry beans have a high skin to flesh ratio and are very mild. The texture is slightly grainy. During the 2021 growout at Heritage Farm this variety had above average productivity. Mid to late maturing. SSE received this variety from Gary Holleman of Indian Harvest in Bemidji, Minnesota.
