This bean was introduced into the 1993 SSE Yearbook Exchange by Bill Hankin (AUSL HA B) of the Heritage Seed Curators Association in Lobethal, South Australia, Australia. He indicated that the variety was developed by the Snowy River Cooperative in Victoria, Australia. Hankin shared seeds with Ronald Sortor (MI SO R), who in turn likely shared the variety with SSE in the mid 1990s. SSE Accession # 104254
