Fisher's Acorn

C. pepo. Acorn squash. Semi-vining. Highly uniform, dark green fruit with ten pronounced ridges. Leaves distinctly lobed. No silvering. Fruit measure 6-9"" long by 4-6.5"" wide and weigh 2.5-4lbs. Thick, pale orange flesh. Good eating qualities. Pleasant flavor; moderately sweet with a smooth texture. Moist flesh. Early maturing, highly productive. Fruit kept for 3-4 months on average when stored at Heritage Farm in 2013-2014. Acquired by SSE from Fisher's Garden Store of Belgrade, MT. SSE Accession # 120059
