Snap bean. Early 90 to 95 days. Vigorous vines with violet flowers. 8 inch long wide flat pods speckled in maroon remain crisp longer. Dry pods are thin walled and easy to hand shell. Seeds are rough textured and frequently bent and curved in the center. Color is light cream tan with black speckling over the entire surface. Maybe fairly cold hardy, and well adapted to wet springs. It has been said seed of this variety can be direct sown when daytime highs reach about 60 degrees. A very old variety kept by the native American people. Source History: CA MU S ‘12, CV PE1 94
