Popping, White

Grain type with large, plump white seeds that were traditionally used as a popcorn alternative. Seeds pop up small with a distinctive, nutty flavor. Seed heads are heavy and drooping on the plant when ripe. Seeds are easy to thresh and easily removed from their white glumes. Plants reach 6-7 feet tall with 2-4 tillers per plant.
